But, why?

The Heirloom Project was born out of a simple idea, to make family memories feel special again. For hundreds of years, people turned to artists to preserve their stories through paintings, drawings, silhouettes, and later, photographs. When the camera was first invented, it was reserved for the meaningful moments. Families dressed their best, gathered together, and created images that would be cherished for generations.

Today, we carry cameras in our pockets, snapping thousands of pictures a year. But somewhere along the way, photos began to feel less intentional.  That’s what I want to change. The Heirloom Project blends the artistry of the past with the conveniences of today. Quick, stress-free sessions meet handcrafted details, silhouettes, and vintage-inspired prints—so you can have both the timeless look of heirloom art and the modern privilege of digital keepsakes. It’s about slowing down, being intentional, and creating photographs that feel as meaningful as they once did.

Best of Both Worlds

In a world where memories live on tiny screens, it’s easy to forget how fleeting digital moments can be. Phones get replaced, files are lost, accounts disappear. But holding a photograph in your hands…the weight of it, the texture, the permanence…reminds us that some memories deserve more than a scroll. A print becomes part of your family’s story, something your children can discover in a drawer or pass down years from now. Because memories shouldn’t vanish with a dead battery. They should last.

With all Heirloom sessions you will be given at least one print and silhouette, hand crafted, making each as unique as you are. And for those who love the convenience of having your photos in your pocket, your print will also be returned digitally.
